Acana Updates
Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 05:18PM How does a pet food company as good as Champion Pet Foods get any better? By making some great changes to their Acana Regional Line.
If you shop here chances are you buy or have bought food from Champion Pets Foods (Orijen or Acana). Based in Alberta, Canada this food is made with amazing ingredients not often found in any pet food. Meat from animals that are pasture raised, free run, wild caught and free of hormones and antibiotics. Ingredients are regionally sourced and most are fresh never frozen before becoming pet food.
In the Acana Regional line we are excited about these improvements:
- Higher inclusions of fresh meat ingredients
- 4 of the first 5 ingredients are meat
- All eggs are nest laid - these are super happy chickens!
- Increaded fiber and lower glucemic index with the addition of lentils and field beans
- Increased natural glucosmine and chondroitin with the addition of more fresh meats
- All steamed in their natural juices so no water added
They are also introducing updated packaging that more clearly showcases the ingredients.
