Kelp is a fantastic supplement - here are some of the benefits.
It is recognized for anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, and anti-rheumatic properties. It can also promote better digestion, healthy skin and coat, healing from injuries and higher resistance to infection. Kelp is great for increasing appetite, resistance to parasites and is an excellent source of naturally chelated macro and micro minerals. It is essential for growing puppies, reproducing animals and for all other dogs.
We have just started carrying a new line of kelp products, Pet Kelp that brings kelp and other essential ingredients together. There are three formulas available. All are ground in a powder formula that adheres to food when sprinkled on top. Each 8 oz. bag is $11.
Antioxidant with Blueberries
Nova Scotia blueberries are the perfect addition to our daily mineral and vitamin complex made from blended kelp (seaweed). Anthocyanins (the pigment that makes blueberries dark blue) are powerful antioxidants. Each Pet Kelp serving gives a full dose of antioxidants, the best source of the anti-aging nutrient thought to decrease cancer and heart disease. Just like people, giving high quality antioxidants to dogs and cats can be extremely beneficial for their long term health.
Skin & Coat with Organic Flax Seed
Organic flax seed, rich in Omega-3s and Omega-6s, is added to our exclusive kelp-based mineral and vitamin complex. The Omegas are vital nutrients need for canine and feline skin health. Our formula provides the optimal 3:1 ratio of Omega-3 to Omega-6s veterinarians believe have the greatest effect on skin and coat health.
Joint & Bone Glucosamine and Chondroitin
Pet Kelp Joint and Bone formula provides a full dose of Glucosamine (1440 mg) and Chondroitin (576 mg). Our product contains as much Glucosamine and Chondroitin as other single purpose joint and bone products available but ours also contains a complete panel of mineral and vitamins.
We have been adding kelp to our pups diets for some time now and think the benefits of this supplement can't be beat.
